I see you've found my corner of the web!
I'm Diamond - a pseudonym I use to refer to myself online. It has no connection with my real name, I just simply love crystals and I think that the structure of the word looks nice.
Despite not being part of it at the time, I've always been a big fan of the 90s and early 00s internet. Modern minimalism has always irked me, so finding Neocities was equivalent to finding a treasure chest. I finally got to see and interact with websites that had that distinct 90s retro aesthetic.
Seeing all these aesthetically pleasing sites, I really wanted one of my own.
I've made websites before, but only with the aid of some drag-and-drop editors. I had always told people I loved programming and coding and computers, but that only applied to the few petty lines of python we wrote in school. I had experimented with HTML before, but I couldn't imagine building whole websites with it.
There was a site (now pretty much defunct) that helped me immensely. I'll link it on my links page when I get around to building that.
After inspecting quite a few Neocities websites and googling tag after tag after tag, I've accomplished this. It doesn't work on mobile and your browser zoom has to be at 100%, but it pretty much functions otherwise.

This bit shouldn't exist, but I added it to tell you guys I play Minecraft
Along with the rest of my family, I love movies. While I do enjoy watching high-budget recent blockbusters, I also love many smaller production, or older, films. Though when it does come to Hollywood movies, sci-fi and thriller films are my favourite. I don't keep a journal/record of all the films I've watched, so while I would say I've watched a lot, I don't know many titles off the top of my head.
I found my scrapbook at a clearance sale in WHSmith. It's not amazing, but I do thoroughly enjoy decorating its pages. Not that I get to do it often, my social life is pretty much non-existent.
I love food, and I definitley enjoy trying new dishes. But being equipped with a bad memory and a bad case of indecisiveness means I'm hopeless when it comes to what my 'favourite foods' are. Regardless of that, I [remember] enjoying instant ramen, hawaiian pizza, matcha/oreo Dairy Queen, prawn crackers, dim sum, water dumplings, hotpot, chicken nuggets and my favourite dessert of all time: macarons. I'm also a big fan of water and classic/matcha chilled bubble tea (with normal black tapioca pearls: popping boba is disgusting!)
I hate minimalism. It's so bland. Why is it a popular aesthetic? I miss when designs were more vibrant and colorful.
Although I'm not a big fan of politics, I love vaporwave. The neon colour palette; the computer hardware and graphics from the 80's-early 00's and the anime/cartoon graphics from the 70s-90s are just all things I love. Not a big fan of greek statues though. I'm also a big fan of spacecore and arcadecore.
Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.
Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion.
Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.
Credits to Dolphin64 for making this cool blinkie!
